Own Your Keke in 5 Steps: What Happens at the Office

Oluwapoju LTD, 17 August 2026

Riders ask us the same questions before they apply. What do I bring? Why do you want guarantors? When do I get the keke? How much is the weekly payment? This post answers all of them, in the order it happens at our office in Omida.

The whole process

From the form to a keke in your name

  1. Visit the officeSuite 76, Omida Shopping Complex B. Collect the form and ask your questions.Day 1
  2. Apply with two guarantorsFill the form and bring your documents and theirs. When you're ready
  3. We verifyWe check your identity, your address and your guarantors. Before anything is signed
  4. Pay your deposit and sign₦400,000 deposit. The agreement sets your weekly payment.Signing day
  5. Drive home, pay weeklyThe keke goes home with you that day. When the last payment clears, it's yours.Same day

Step 1: Visit the office

Come to Suite 76, Omida Shopping Complex B, Abeokuta. Collect the application form and ask anything you want to know first. What does the keke cost today? How much deposit? How much each week, and for how many weeks? You should leave the office knowing your figures, even if you don't apply that day.

Step 2: Apply with two guarantors

Fill the form and bring your documents. You also need two guarantors. Here is what each person brings.

What to bring

Bring everything on the first visit and it moves faster

YouThe rider

  • NIN slip or card
  • Valid driver's licence or rider's permit
  • Proof of address, such as a utility bill
  • Passport photograph
  • Phone number and email address

Each guarantorTwo of them. At least one a civil servant or business owner

  • Passport photograph and NIN
  • Home address and phone number
  • Occupation
  • How they know you
  • A signed declaration accepting responsibility if you default

Why guarantors? We don't ask for a bank statement or a credit report. Most riders don't have one, and that shouldn't stop you owning a keke. Your guarantors take its place. Each one signs a declaration accepting responsibility if you stop paying.

Choose people who know you well and who understand what they are signing. Show them this post if it helps.

Step 3: We verify

Before anything is signed, we check your identity, your address and your guarantors. It protects you as much as it protects us. Every rider on an Oluwapoju keke went through the same checks, on the same terms. You also need to meet our minimum age. The office will confirm it when you collect the form.

Step 4: Pay your deposit and sign

On our 1½-year plan (1 year 6 months) the deposit is ₦400,000. Two things about it that riders often miss:

  • It counts towards the keke straight away. The deposit is part of the hire purchase price, not a fee on top of it.
  • It is not one of your weekly payments. The number of weeks is set on the balance left after the deposit, and you pay every one of those weeks.

Where the ₦6,800,000 goes

Hire purchase price₦6,800,000
Deposit, paid once on signing day: ₦400,000Weekly payments: ₦6,400,000
Bar lengths are to scale. ₦400,000 + (78 × ₦82,052) = ₦6,800,000, give or take a few naira of rounding.

Weekly payment = (hire purchase price − deposit) ÷ number of weeks, rounded up to the nearest naira. The hire purchase price is a September 2026 average.

Then you sign the hire purchase agreement. It states the hire purchase price, your deposit, your weekly payment, the number of weeks and when ownership passes to you. Read it before you sign. Ask about any line you don't understand. Take your copy home.

Step 5: Drive home, pay weekly

You drive the keke home the same day you sign. From then on, you pay once a week, small small, not every day. Each payment is recorded, so you always know how many weeks are left.

78 weekly payments, then it's yours

Every Oluwapoju keke carries a tracker, checked weekly by our fleet team. It protects the keke, for you and for the investor whose money financed it. When the last weekly payment clears, ownership passes to you.

Questions riders ask us

Do I need a bank account or a credit history?

No credit history is needed. Your documents and your two guarantors are what we look at.

How long from application to keke?

It depends mostly on how quickly your documents and guarantors come in. Bring everything on the first visit and ask the office for the likely timing.

What if I have a bad week and can't pay?

Call the office the same day on 08169562731. Your agreement states what happens when a payment is late. An early phone call is always easier than a late one.

Is daily delivery cheaper?

Per day, no. We did the sum in ₦15,000 a Day, and the Keke Still Isn't Yours.
